The Friction sub-score (added 2026-05-11) combines liquidity, price-spread stability, era maturity, and affordability minus a flat marketplace-fee proxy. The era-benchmark ROI numbers project returns based on the card's release era — they're not card-specific predictions. Limitations: the score is a relative ranking heuristic, not a forecast.
